What i have learn in 3rd quarter (reflection)
This past third quarter has been a journey of discovery in the world of web development, specifically focusing on HTML and CSS. I've gained a foundational understanding of how to structure web pages using HTML, learning to effectively utilize various tags to create headings, paragraphs, lists, and incorporate images and links. I've discovered the power of CSS in styling these pages, controlling aspects like color schemes, font styles, layout, and responsiveness. I've learned how to use selectors to target specific elements and apply styles precisely, and I've begun to understand the importance of clean, well-organized code for maintainability and efficiency. A key discovery was the interconnectedness of HTML and CSS – how they work together to create visually appealing and functional websites.
However, the learning process wasn't always smooth. Initially, I struggled with understanding the intricacies of CSS selectors and the cascading nature of styles. Debugging my code was also a significant challenge; pinpointing the source of errors in my CSS proved time-consuming and frustrating at times. Understanding the box model and how it affects element positioning was another area of difficulty. Finally, balancing the need for aesthetically pleasing design with functional code required a level of attention to detail that I initially found challenging.
To overcome these challenges, I relied heavily on online resources such as tutorials, documentation, and code examples. I found that breaking down complex tasks into smaller, more manageable steps was crucial. I also practiced regularly, working through numerous exercises and small projects to reinforce my understanding of the concepts. When encountering errors, I learned to systematically debug my code, using browser developer tools to inspect elements and identify the source of problems. I also sought help from online communities and forums, finding that collaboration and peer support were invaluable.
Moving forward, I plan to focus on solidifying my understanding of responsive web design and more advanced I'll continue practicing regularly, working on more complex projects to build my skills and confidence. The goal is to transition from a foundational understanding to a more proficient level of web development, capable of creating more sophisticated and dynamic websites.
